Dream Catalogue releases “I Dreamed of a Palace in the Sky” by Equip

Ah, yes. That’s something nice to hear after a long day at the consulting firm. I Dreamed of a Palace in the Sky is new chillwave/downtempo music out by Equip – the artist’s debut album, in fact. This album utilizes tropes from RPG video game music and effects to create a retro-ish atmosphere, but as the press release says, “even people with no prior interest in video games should enjoy the music on offer,” and each song is from original material. Dream Catalogue suggests that fans of “R23X, death’s dynamic shroud.wmv, Kobayashi Yamato and COCAINEJESUS” will appreciate this album. It’s available for £4 as a digital download and for £9 on grey shell cassette in an edition of 200.
