Bedlam Tapes releases “Throatless” by Argiflex

Throatless is new music by Argiflex, and wow, has this guy taken a page from ghost tech. A lot of Bedlam Tapes is rooted in modern vaporwave, future funk, and vaporhop; this is one of the first albums from the label to go full-fledged club and beat-oriented music. “HYPERWAY ROADKILL” is excellent breakbeat for fans of the SEQUENCE series of techno shows in DC, “UNTITLED” uses steel drums in a way vaguely reminiscent of a trappy Jamie xx, and “THROATLESS” has more in common with hardvapor than has been seen before on BT. The album also includes remixes of each of the tracks on Throatless such as Windows 98の, death’s dynamic shroud.wmv, Golding Living Room, Remember, and R23X; an additional bonus track is a live mix. The album is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download, for $10 on yellow cassette, and for $15 on CD/digipack.
