Lost Angles releases “Vapor.wav” by Odaxelagnia

In addition to the Dan Mason cassette reissue, Lost Angles has new music available from an artist named Odaxelagnia. Now with an album title like Vapor.wav, you’d probably think that this were going to be a pretty meme-sounding album, but it’s actually vaporhop/vaportrap with significant influences from classic-style vaporwave and future funk music. The album is eighteen tracks long, and it’s obviously made by someone who’s both a fan of the genre and doesn’t mind poking some fun at it; I’m particularly into the oscillating vocals of “四百廿ｄｅｎｅｒｗｕｊｅ” that sound like speakers being played under rippling water. Vapor.wav is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download and for $8 CAD on cassette in an edition of fifty.
