Seikomart releases “1995” by Kuramae Station

1995 is new music out on the Seikomart label, which is a sister to Sud Swap Audio Brewing. Kuramae Station’s debut for the label is a classic-style vaporwave release that heavily utilizes extreme tempo/pitch-shifting on what I assume are pop and R&B samples. Whereas many classic-style releases use the same speed of shifting throughout the song, there are several times where the track is shifted in real time, producing kind of an interesting effect as one hears the changes take place. There are also a couple of vaguely dark ambient sounding tracks, as on “Death and a Phone Line”. The release is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
