HVRF releases “MATRIX SHARDS 001” by THE JEWEL SHIP

Here’s more hardvapor from HVRF, coming from THE JEWEL SHIP. MATRIX SHARDS 001 is four tracks of long-form dark techno music, ambient shimmers, and four-on-the-floor beats underpinned with spacey, somewhat futuristic-sounding tones. “BUTTERFLY SIREN” is a stand-out, featuring little more than some icy synths, oscillating background noises, and the sparsest of percussion. It’s a little less “hard” than most of HVRF’s work – in the sense that it isn’t punishingly brash – and might just be good place to start for those who feel intimidated by hardvapor’s outlying severity.
