仮想夢プラザ self-releases “共生”
The last album from telepath’s long-running 仮想夢プラザ (Virtual Dream Plaza) project was released on the Pyramids label in December 2016, nearly three months ago. 共生 breaks that hiatus with another addition to the third installment in this series of ambient music, which began with Dream Catalogue’s dual-release of 破片 / 仮初 last fall. 共生 is exactly sixty-four minutes long, double the time of the average VDP album from the first and second installments, which generally ran between thirty-one and thirty-two minutes in length. It demonstrates telepath’s continual movement away from the slushwave/vaporwave that characterized his early career and the beginnings of the VDP project, tending toward a stronger focus on drone and beatless ambient music.
