PZA – CLOUDS

Recommendation: ☹
CLOUDS isn’t the usual for Acid Medical. PZA is known for vaportrap – and a lot of it – whereas Acid Medical is known for drone music and ADD-glitchasms. Therefore, CLOUDS is only somewhat an odd duck among releases such as the hundred-minute-plus killkore and the soporific animal crossing. The same PZA pieces1 are here with little change for placement on Acid Medical: moderately downtempo tracks with plenty of hi-hats and chillax rhythms. Not much to do with the label’s kidcore/post-vore vibe. It’s too out of place for Acid Medical insofar as the label’s spiel, and nothing really separates it from the other fifty-something albums in PZA’s discography. One thing that’s worth mentioning though: there’s a Godzilla roar on “WIND OF THE MOON”, and it’s pretty awesome. Also, that album artwork is gorgeous.2

1How the hell has it taken me this long to make that pun?
2It’s like a city version of Diotima by Krallice.
