TKX Vault releases “Je m’apelle Michel” by Michel Tenoît

A new Mike Tenay album is not what I was expecting. Mike Tenay is (or was) a future funk alias who’s most well-known for the release of Jacuzzi in 2013. He also shares the project name with a popular and former WCW and TNA commentator who’s also known as the “Professor” and pictures of whom this Mike Tenay uses in his album artwork. Je m’apelle Michel is the first album from Tenay in a couple years, shedding the old future funk aesthetic for downtempo R&B with a drum machine. Each track feature spoken word vocals in French by Tenay (or Tenoît, as he’s going by here), and “Appel de nuit” features female pitch-screwed vocals. It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
