Pyramids releases “Spiritual Continuum” by Deiphix

Pyramids is one of two labels that caters to “ghost tech” (the other being Tekres, owned and operated by Halo Acid). Their sixteenth release to date is now out – Spiritual Continuum by Deiphix. This release is a single twenty-four minute track that is the most ambient release yet within ghost tech, but not ambient in the way of Brian Eno or HKE. To use a totally overwrought simile, Spiritual Continuum sounds like the sound effects you hear when walking into the Wrecked Ship zone of Super Metroid before the power is turned back on. The track contains many low tones and bleeps/blips that sound like the ambiance of a neo-futurist terminal. Quite haunting. It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
