Pyramids releases “Prophecy” by New Shoppe

Pyramids is a label somewhat related to Dream Catalogue and Tekres that releases “ghost tech” – a style of hardvapour music that Tekres owner Halo Acid once described as “dance music for introverts”. Prophecy comes from New Shoppe, who released Pietà on SHUT_INS to some community acclaim last year. Prophecy is ten tracks of some short, some single-length ghost tech tracks that utilize elements of noise, glitch, and ambient music. It’s pretty unlike the beat-driven works present throughout most of Pyramids and Tekres. Recommended for fans of MOD-COMM81, Yoshimi, and Saturn. Choice tracks are “Cleanse” and “Reaper (feat. Starkweather”). It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
