Hairs aBlazin’ releases “Reef Frequent” by Reef Frequent

The self-titled debut from Reef Frequent was originally released on the Velvet Bazaar label as its third album. Reef Frequent is primarily known for his afterlife trilogy on BLCR Laboratories from 2016 and for the old-school video game tribute (among other things) Unknown System Boundary from last year. He got his start making a mix of modern electronic and vaporhop music though, as shown by this debut that’s relatively free of the post-rock and Oneohtrix Point Never influences that characterizes his current output. It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download and for $7 USD on cassette in an edition of twelve.
