Kaiseki Digital releases “T+T=Z” by Zerfranzt
Ooo, what do we have here? New music from the “storytelling” label Kaiseki Digital, which is based in central Florida. T+T=Z is a thirteen-track dreampunk release from Zerfranzt, utilizing a variety of samples to construct a cyberpunk odyssey that references a variety of famous cyberpunk, science fiction, and vaporwave concepts such as Prypjat and HAL 9000. Tracks utilize relatively relaxed, jam-like progressions built out of synthesizer music and trip-hop percussion (recommended for fans of “Lonely Soul” by UNKLE?). Some tracks (e.g. “Prypjat”) feature spoken word elements. Lyrics from some of the tracks were taken from the German-language poetry site Literaturwerkstatt Berlin, with each poet cited as a feature. Recommended for fans of world music that isn’t “world music”. It’s available for $4.99 USD as a digital download.
