New Motion releases “Escapism Path” by Sangam

Escapism Path is a new ambient cyberpunk/dreampunk album from Sangam, who’s been steadily establishing an enormous body of work through labels such as Dream Catalogue and Sea of Clouds. This new release is for British Columbia label New Motion. It incorporates the artist’s cinematic-esque ambient music produced with clean tones and the occasional utilization of field recordings (e.g. “Merely a Phantom”). The album is accompanied by a remix treatment called Felt Blue Remixes that includes twenty-five remixes by a variety of featured artists of the third track “Felt Blue”. Escapism Path is available for $2 CAD as a digital download, for $8 CAD on cassette, and for $18 CAD on double cassette that also features Felt Blue Remixes.
