No Problema Tapes releases “Still Lives” by Reef Frequency

Reef Frequent is back with their first album since 2017’s exceptional Unknown System Boundary. Available through Chilean label No Problema Tapes, Still Lives is a return to the artist’s vaporwave roots after incorporating progressive electronica on the last album. The album starts of with drone-esque vaporwave samplism, and later on (e.g. “Reach”) it lapses into dreampunk with glitch aesthetics, giving the whole album a futurist/retro-futurist aesthetic that revels in its own dichotomy. Recommended for fans of Hantasi and Sangam. It’s available for $2 USD as a digital download and for $8.50 USD on cassette in an edition of fifty.
