Adhesive Sounds releases “2 Sad 2 Funk” by Young Guv

By the sounds of thinks 2 Sad 2 Funk is not too sad to funk. This release from Young Guv is thirteen tracks of future funk music in just around one half-hour, making it a great bite-sized future funk label in the midst of the recent reissues from labels like Neoncity Records. 2 Sad 2 Funk primarily features single-worthy future funk tracks juxtaposed against experimental interludes that feature trip-hop-esque drum loops, spoken word recordings, and strike-outs like DJ Shadow. Choice track is “Ain’t Fallin’ in Luv Again”. The album is available for $5 CAD as a digital download, for $10 CAD on cassette in an edition of thirty-five, and for $15 CAD on “Durex edition” cassette in an edition of ten that comes with a condom. Nice.
