New World releases “Killer in Kowloon” by Virtual Vice
New World is a label based out of New Zealand and the USA. It went on an unannounced hiatus beginning in November 2017, but returned to release more music starting in June 2018. Killer in Kowloon by Virtual Vice is their second album since the return. Killer in Kowloon is a six-track EP in the style of outrun, which refers to a specific kind of 80s-inspired music that is thematically related to synthwave music and includes imagery of cars and cyberpunk fiction (think of the film Drive). This EP includes three re-mastered tracks from a previous release that have more ambient-cyberpunk influences. Killer in Kowloon is available for $1 USD as a digital download.
