Online Records releases “Wartime” by future facilities

Online Records is one of – if not the – most experimental labels that’s firmly within the vaporwave scene. Headed up by Hantasi and Claudia, this label releases avant-garde electronic music that heavily utilizes vaporwave tropes in context of Oswald-esque plunderphonics, field recordings, tape music, and noise. Almost all artists are pseudonymous, with many likely the product of the label owners themselves. Wartime by future facilities is a twenty-three minute release in two tracks. This release features elements of noise and drone music, almost like early experiments in industrial music but within the milieu of the Internet age. “Wartime 2” sounds like a highly affected 8-bit melody; check out the section beginning at the six-minute mark.
