DMT Tapes FL releases “Your Local Forecast” by Chemical Hypnotist

The phenomenon of “weathersoft” was briefly popular in 2016. “Weathersoft” referred to using mallsoft production techniques except presenting the music as filler or recycled broadcasts from The Weather Channel and similar sources instead of PA systems in malls. Your Local Forecast by Chemical Hypnotist is a new full-length out on DMT Tapes FL that brings back this style of production. Tracks feature slightly muffled and pitch-/tempo-shifted edits of forecasts and smooth jazz, like what you’d hear on a local weather station in the mid-morning. The album is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
