.jpeg Artifacts – Ridin’ That (Information Highway) [EP]

.jpeg Artifact’s nine-minute extended-play Ridin’ That (Information Highway) sounds like – well – a JPEG artifact that’s been run through one-too-many Imageshack uploads and accidentally opened/saved in Microsoft Word. All four tracks are the lowest in lo-fi vaporwave, as if this album were made for listening at 96 kbps on the cheapest monitor speakers available at the Circuit City clearance aisle. Listen and be regaled with the glorious sounds of “loading… please wait” music curated from the most unexceptionally mediocre freeware stock exchange programs produced during the Dot-com bubble. And if these overwrought comparisons aren’t enough,1 let that so-awkward-it’s-a-felony sample of James Brown on “Can’t You Feel the Magic?” go ahead and seal the coffin that contains your morbid (un-)desire to ever listen to this.

Tracklist

1. Roll with the Night – (1:51)
2. Ridin’ That (Information Highway) – (2:11)
3. Can’t You Feel the Magic? – (2:18)
4. That Late Night Grind – (2:07)
