サイバー ’98 – corrupted nature

Recommendation: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
What is this – vapornoise? Vaportrap? Vapornoisetrap? Vaportroise?1 The corrupted nature extended-play by サイバー ’98 liberally uses all of these tropes, and it’s quite good. “Forgotten Forest” and “LOVE.jp” make use of glitchy R&B in a completely novel way that plays up the corruption to which the title alludes. “Mistrust” is a remix of a Darksleep track, who is best-known for his ECCOJAMS work Identity Ender. corrupted nature is a much less ambient in comparison to previous full-lengths Computer Dreams and DIGITΛL FORΞST; as is usually the problem with these releases, I just wish it were longer. Thankfully, there is plenty of back catalogue from which to choose; corrupted nature is a short introduction to an artist who aptly merges the glitch aesthetic with hip-hop and trap music.
