Tekres releases “Encyclies” by Chungking Mansions

Tekres’ third album is Encyclies by electronic music artist Chungking Mansions, who has made a name in over the past few years in quite a few parts of the vaporwave-and-related-genres realm. Encyclies is a four-track ghost tech album that utilizes the genre’s skeletal-esque beats with hints of early IDM, ambient techno, and urban house music. The title track has a bit of a trap influence in Chungking Mansions’ hi-hat carry, and “Forest” recalls some of the beat-heavy work by HKE. This album is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download and also for £9 on cassette format in an edition of fifty.
