RKM Records release “Welcome to the Show” by Broadcast

Here’s a release of straight-up hypnagogic drift, something that hasn’t come out for quite a while. Welcome to the Show is a two-track EP by Broadcast, out on RKM Records. According to the press release, the cassette was “salvaged from a VHS tape found at a bus stop in Kings Norton, Birmingham at 3:00 on the 15th of September.” The first half is a bit more contemporary vaporwave, whereas the last track is piano music and easy listening with a lo-fi Weather Channel sheen that brings to mind the sampling techniques of Infinity Frequencies. It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
