Dream Catalogue releases “You Forget This” by Sangam

Damn, I started writing a full-length review just off of first listen, so I guess that tells a lot. You Forget This is new music from Sangam out on the Dream Catalogue label, which is co-owned by artists HKE and telepath. This album utilizes a similar “dream” aesthetic to the latter two artists’ 2814 project, with lots of sonic imagery of rainstorms, claustrophobia, and caged-in cities. The album is somewhat mixed as one single song; tracks such as opener “11pm, Friday Night” flow directly into follow-ups “Egotistical” and “Blurred.” At twenty tracks, there’s plenty to explore here, and it’ll surely please fans of 2814, Remember, Shima33, and other artists whose production style revolves around the creation of epic soundscapes with an ambient bent. It’s available for £4 as a digital download and for £9 on transparent purple cassette in an edition of 200.
