Pyramids releases “Guardian” by Virtual Dream Plaza

I was juuuuust thinking today that telepath hasn’t released something from the Virtual Dream Plaza project in a bit, and now there’s a new offering on the Pyramids label from exactly that! Guardian is one of the most ambitious releases on VDP, totaling over an hour and thirty minutes of a single track of dreampunk and drone music. As with a lot of VDP albums, Guardian is exceptionally ambient, featuring long washes of reverberating synthesizer music. Contrary to previous entries, Guardian does not utilize samples (or at least audibly so) of pop music or Japanese music, which is something of a theme with VDP’s third installment – which began with the dual-release of 破片 / 仮初 on Dream Catalogue this fall. Listen for a dose of telepath soundscapes – or as HKE put it, “transcendence”.
