Sunset Grid releases “Abandoned Places” by Vektor Storm

Abandoned Places is different from pretty much everything else released on Sunset Grid, a label based out of Australia that primarily deals with uptempo classic-style vaporwave, future funk, and chillwave. This release from Vektor Storm is a single forty-minute track of ambient vaporwave and dark ambient music. It passes through styles and different progressions of music similar to “Djed” by Tortoise from Millions Now Living Will Never Die and Cusp by Everlovely Lightningbolt, but of course with an ambient bent rather than post-rock. It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download; recommended for fans of long, evolving vaporwave tracks – similar in concept to but dissimilar results as Virtual Dream Plaza.
