Code666 releases “Winter” by Fen

Here’s new music from Code666, an imprint of Season of Mist and sister to Aural music. Winter is the fifth album by UK black metal group Fen. They play a brand of atmospheric and shoegaze-influenced metal that’s less Deafheaven and more Hate Forest. If you’re into the nature-themed metal of early Wolves in the Throne Room, then you’ll also enjoy this, although the production is far more raw here. There’s quite a bit of progressive undertones, if you couldn’t tell by the fifteen- and seventeen-minute long tracks. Recommended for fans of Downfall of Gaia. It’s available for €7 as a digital download and for €20 on LP.
