[News] Dream Catalogue officially announces change in ownership, reissues albums

Dream Catalogue’s creative force HKE recently announced an extended hiatus from music and social media out of necessity in dealing with issues of depression. Accompanying this was a somewhat cryptic series of messages from HKE and Dream Catalogue concerning a change of ownership in the label’s production. Late this morning EST, a message was posted on the Dream Catalogue web site from the two new owners Danaseus and Mykena. Along with a brief (but also cryptic) explanation of the transition period between HKE and the new owners, Dream Catalogue announced three new series of productions that will take the label through summer 2018. You can read more at the official message here.

Most notably is the beginning of the “Reissue Phase”, whereby Dream Catalogue is reissuing a variety of albums from within the label’s discography on vinyl and cassette. This began with today’s release of two reissues from 2814 – a collaborative project between HKE and telepath. Debut 2814 and sophomore release 新しい日の誕生 are now available for pre-order on double translucent-purple vinyl. They’re available for £28 GBP each and for £50 GBP, in addition to the standard £4 GBP each price for digital downloads.

**UPDATE** After selling out of the initial run of 1000 copies, the 新しい日の誕生 vinyl is going for a second edition that will be available until mid-September to gauge interest.
