Power Lunch releases “Biospheres 1” by GADANTECH
Biospheres 1 is a new release from GADANTECH and one that classic-style fans should be into. The album presents itself with a similar aesthetic as 2013-2014 classic-style releases with a spoken-word introduction that directly addresses the listener, welcoming them into the world. Tracks are uptempo classic-style vaporwave edits that also incorporate elements of vaporhop/vaportrap, such as on “New CRT Smell”. A few tracks have a chill hypnagogic aesthetic, as with “Dense Fog Warning”. Recommended for fans of the Virtual High trilogy by Rez and Oscob. Biospheres 1 is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download and for $9 USD on cassette in an edition of twelve.
