Junk Maker Sounds releases “Behind You” by b l u e s c r e e n

Nope, it’s not an April Fool’s joke. b l u e s c r e e n dropped a new album this past Sunday with the title Behind You – which almost sounds like something that should be released on Halloween instead. It’s on Junk Maker Sounds, which primarily specializes in classic-style vaporwave sounds along with Power Lunch and Bogus Collective. Behind You is hypnagogic drift music with plaintive, somewhat lonely edits of R&B and adult contemporary music. As with most of b l u e s c r e e n’s work, there is somewhat of a vaporhop influence, although it’s bured under lots of sample degradation and pads. Choice track is “Appliqué”. Behind You is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
