Neoncity Records releases “Super Brass 2” by Super Brass

Neoncity Records is one of the current big players within the future funk world. Their discography primarily contains reissues of major works by artists like Yung Bae. Super Brass 2 is a new album that’s almost not even future funk at all but just straight-up funk music like could be taken from a mid-80s pop band in a post-Thriller world. Not so much French house or four-on-the-floor beats as mid-tempo funk music and sing-along backing vocals in the chorus. Choice track is “Miles Rock”. Super Brass 2 is available for $7 USD as a digital download and for $14 USD on cassette in an edition of 200.
