Dream Catalogue releases “Nomads” by Halo Acid

Been a while since we’ve done one of these articles, right? Well, this is a good one to start back on. Nomads is a new full-length release from Halo Acid, an electronic music artist from the UK who’s worked extensively with HKE over the past couple of years through the TKX Vault label and Dream Catalogue parent. Halo Acid briefly ran the Tekres label as well, which (along with HKE’s Pyramids label) was dedicated to the genre of “ghost tech” music, which Halo Acid once described to me as “dance music for introverts”, taking heavy inspiration from old-school UK garage music and IDM aesthetics. Nomads – now out on Dream Catalogue – certainly continues the ideas explored in ghost tech, although with a greater focus on phrase repetition and the incorporation of some glitch tendencies. Choice track is “Fate Vertigo”. The album is available for £4 GBP as a digital download.
