life of a cowboy is a new release from 45″ Pinwheel Pinwheel visions of the angels, one of the (many) projects of the artist simply known as hannah. hannah’s discography (at least for Online Records) is mostly composed of experimental plunderphonics works (as if plunderphonics isn’t already experimental) that are heavily informed by the aesthetics of tape music and drone. life of a cowboy, then, isn’t an album of “tumblewave” (ECCOJAMS techniques applied to American country/western music), but a five-track work that includes supremely underproduced piano music and jingles. It’s available as a pay-what-you-want digital download.
