Asura Revolver releases “GeneWorks” by Regeneron Vertex

Asura Revolver is a Norwegian label that releases vaporwave, ambient music, and cyberpunk-themed music; a mix of styles that are occasionally referred to as “vapor” (or “vapour”) by its practitioners to distinguish it from the connotations brought by the “-wave” suffix. GeneWorks is the second summer album released by the label, although I wouldn’t call it “summer” in the sense of beach-time! GeneWorks consists of six tracks in a roughly twenty-minute EP with exceptionally clear production that features ambient synth lines, low-tempo percussion, and numerous field recordings such was rushing water. Some field recordings are jumbled up, providing a digital foil to the organic sounds. GeneWorks is available for £4 GBP as a digital download.
