Lost Angles releases “HOH [ H E A D O F H O U S E H O L D]” by Production

Y’know, a lot of old-school vaporwave wasn’t as rooted in overt sample curation as belied by modern albums based in pitch-/tempo-shifting. A lot of the original “classic-style” vaporwave incorporated glitch and noise aesthetics that played up the idea of found sounds and decrepit – if nostalgic – appreciation of early digital aesthetics. HOH [ H E A D O F H O U S E H O L D] is a good example of this type of classic-style. Brought to you by Production and released through the Canadian label Lost Angles, HOH [ H E A D O F H O U S E H O L D] features sampled instrumental new age, adult contemporary, and corporate music with extreme red-lining and deteriorated – uhh – production. You’ve heard of “generative music”? Try out some of this degenerative music. All tracks feature collaborations with a number of artists including Little Mac Tonight, KASH N' KARRY SHOPPING CAR T, and GOTCHA質問. HOH [ H E A D O F H O U S E H O L D] is available as a pay-what-you-want digital download and for $10 CAD on cassette in an edition of twenty-five.
